This is the best fat separator I’ve had. Others I’ve had started leaking after a very few uses. This one works by pinching the silicone funnel closed, not just stopping an opening. No drips at all. I use a small soft brush (that was probably meant for cleaning funnels) and hot soapy water to clean. Super easy. I will never put it in the dishwasher.

I have owned a Oxo gravy separator for several years. It did not allow you to remove all the oil. The new design allows for more control, great improvement!

Bought this for Thanksgiving this year because I couldn’t find my old grease separator with the spout near the bottom of the cup. This OXO model (love this brand) not only has a strainer lid on the top to keep the drippings clear, but you squeeze the handle which allows the bottom valve to open and pour your clear drippings into your pot and then you release the handle before the grease can pour out. Genius design!!

I used my original OXO gravy separator for several years before it cracked. This newer design is so much better. And works like a charm! I wouldn’t think of making from drippings gravy without it.

I saw this model used on America’s test kitchen and I could see how useful it was. I had an old style separator that would only hold one cup of liquid and that was one of the problems with the old style. In addition the new one had a removable screen on top which would remove all the large pieces from the liquid. Very happy with this purchase I highly recommend!

Used on Thanksgiving Day to make wonderful gravy and couldn’t have been easier to use. Separates the oil from the drippings perfectly (oil stays on top and drippings come out the bottom. I highly recommend.
