I knew I wanted a spiralizer, but wasn’t sure how often I would use it. We have narrow kitchen with very little counter space so I was worried that the countertop ones would be stored in cabinets and promptly forgotten. Because I’ve had good luck with other OXO products, I decided to go ahead and spend a little more on this handheld spiralizer than the other options. I do not regret that decision.Even with hand issues, I can use this (If I were frequently spiralizing more than one veggie at a time, I’d maybe consider the countertop version instead). I like that this has the three blades as it seems like different veggies do work a bit better when using the larger blade and others work better with the smaller blade, the ribbon option is just a bonus. Don’t bother using the top gripping piece until your veggie is down low enough that it no longer feels safe to twist without it, it works much better that way. It also works best if cut the veggie pieces is a nice straight flat line. I tried to spiralize some bent pieces — it kind of worked, but the noodles were breaking too easily. It’s relatively easy to clean but I would recommend using a bottle brush, especially one that has a smaller attachment (the kind usually designed for cleaning nipples on baby bottles) as it’s hard to get a regular brush in some of the little nooks and crannies.

I love that for my small kitchen I can stick this in the back of one of my drawers and conveniently access this when I use it only 2-3/month instead of the usual GINORMOUS spiralizer that takes up an entire shelf.. Um, no thanks. It does however take me a good few minutes to spiralize a whole zucchini, so much so, that I kind of need to prep around spiralizing before I start any sauces just so the spirals are ready to add (another perk: +they cook up so quickly once they’re prepped!) So it’s a little bit inconvenient in that sense.Cleaning is not as easy as would be ideal, too. It has a few crevices that food can be hard to remove from.Overall, if you’re going to use one of these more than a couple times a week, might be best to search for a quicker more convenient option. Otherwise, this is a great little buy!

Somehow, my spirooli got lost in my garage somewhere. I wanted to make some zucchini noodles (zoodles) so I ordered this device not really expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the zoodles turned out. There’s virtually no set-up required to use it. The zoodles turned out perfectly. I particularly like the width of the noodles. They turned out better than my spirooli noodles, and with a lot less labor.

Easy to use though the company OXO could stand to supply instructions. My guess is they’re available online. I found this kitchen tool easy to use just need to use vegetables that are wide enough for the vegetable & blade to meet. I first used beets but they weren’t wide enough but I like the rings it allowed me to make. Didn’t hurt my hand and cleans easily under faucet or pop it in the dishwasher, as it’s dishwasher safe.

Saves me so much money! I used to be zoodles at the store but now I can make my own for a lot less money. Easy to use and clean. Would highly recommend.

I have tried this with several vegetables and it does not make good spirals or noodles. It is far easier just to use my vegetable peeler. Disappointed!

This OXO handheld and compact spiralizer is great! I awkwardly spiralized my first zucchini but am sure it will be easier and much quicker next time. Iβm new fan of zoodles which is why I bought this and it works great for a single serving or two. The blade cleans easily with a toothbrush. If you want to spiralize a greater quantity, you might want to consider the OXO Tabletop spiralizer to get the job done faster.
