I’ve always gone to this company when I’m needing a(nother) can opener or kitchen gadget. I got hooked on youtube’s Epicurious series on “Kitchen gadgets reviewed by a design expert” and I had to find out more about the host, Dan Formosa. Come to find out, he worked with OXO and is a renowned expert on product design, and is in demand through his projects and lectures. He and his team, or whoever he worked with, designed some of the most well-thought out, easy to use products. They’re intuitive, innovative, and decidedly superior and I have a kitchen full of OXO products. Here’s an example: The sliding covers can be opened at either end, and don’t automatically assign a “direction,” which is handy. Plus, they snap reassuringly into place and they don’t allow leaks.Another is the shape of the cubes: They’re not square but rectangular, which allows for the glass or container to be filled but not overfilled. And, they are rounded at the bottom, which allows you to slide the cube out with one finger from both directions. The trays stack beautifully and are good space savers, helpful in my sometimes overstuffed freezer. In short, who would have thought a simple unassuming little item like an ice cube tray could be so beautifully well thought out and geared for human use? I’ve fought ice cube trays for years, having to run hot water on them and banging, wrenching, and twisting trays and disliking what I had to do just to get some ice. I haven’t got a fancy fridge that delivers ice, and these little easy-to-use trays are the next best thing.Very highly recommended! Get ’em, try ’em, fall in love….

I got these because my old ones snapped and this was a top pick from Wirecutter. I like that they are stackable so they take up less freezer real estate. However I have never had ice cube trays with a lid before, so there’s a slight learning curve. You really can’t overfill them at all, if it’s over a certain level the ice will start to adhere to the lid, making the lid very difficult to slide off at least the first time. Once you break that seal it’s fine. Just have to learn the perfect level. I like that it’s easy to crack and get the ice out, once cracked the ice can just swoop out.

I LOVE these trays. I brought my first set at Burlington. I love the fact that they 1) have lids, 2) the lids slide 3) tray is easily twistable to pop out the ice and 4) the size of the cubes. I love’m so much that I brought this set for work. The lids slide easily and don’t get stuck. They actually slide all the way off which makes for easy washing as well. The ice pops out easy with a slight twist of the tray. Ice comes out so easy that you can even take them out with the tip of your finger. You won’t be disappointed if you purchase. And definitely worth the price.

My daughter needed trays that were easier to remove ice from instead of trying to bend to loosen the cubes these are amaz8ng because you just have to press on one side and they most of the time slide out. If they are too frozen sometimes they are too stuck but we just wait a min or run under water for a second or 2 and then they come right out

Easy to fill and easy to remove the cubes from. We have had numerous other ice trays but this are the best by far, filling them is so easy as the water just flows from one section to the rest without overfilling. The sidewalls are just a bit higher than th ice cube area, so that as you carry them to the freezer they donβt spill all over the counter, floor or freezer compartment. And emptying them is just a flex and a dump and they are all out. The very best!

I juice Ginger and I use this tray to freeze ginger cubes that go in my tea in the morning. Takes the hassle out of grading tea every morning. And it has a cover! Ginger at the ready!!

The size of the cubes are pretty decent. Easy to get ice out.

Don’t overfill. Otherwise, a dream to use; lid easily slides on and off, ice comes out effortlessly and it fits my freezer two of these fill one of the small racks in my freezer perfectly. It is slightly wider than a standard tray. Check your clearances before ordering to be sure this will fit where you plan to put it. I’d buy these again.
