We ordered an off-brand one and it started to rust after only a few washings. Have already run this one through the dishwasher multiple times and so far no rusting and scoops nicely. Looks like it should last awhile!

I could not find a good old fashioned baller. I trust OXO as every kitchen gadget I own is from them. So happy I was able to order it and next day delivery

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve purchased fruit at the grocery store but didn’t feel like cutting it up right away. After unloading and putting away all the groceries, it’s the last thing I want to do – especially because (pre- melon baller) it was a huge mess! Then, the fruit would go bad before we could even eat it! Whoops! So, I started buying the pre-cut fruit to save me time. That worked, but holy grocery bill!Enter: melon baller! This thing makes “cutting” fruit so simple and quick, I actually do it right away! Last week, we ate cantaloupe within minutes of returning from the grocery store. It’s a miracle!

Just another kitchen tool that OXO has improved! Great product. I recommend this!

I remember it being super cute but small when I opened the package. I got it because I never seem to cut a Cantaloupe properly (his words, not mine) so I imagined scooping balls of Cantaloupe for lunches everyday, but sadly that did not materialize. It could have been user error, scooper error, or Cantaloupe error. But overall it’s a nice piece for the collection. Not sure why my autotext is capitalizing Cantaloupe as if it is a proper noun. Have fun y’all.

Easily scoops out melon balls and zucchini innards for zucchini boats, and is very comfortable to hold.

Unlike other melon ballers this grip is actually very comfortable. My hand wonβt get sore when tackling a giant watermelon.
