We got my son beta fish as his first “pet.” When I was cleaning the tanks (long story) weekly, I had to use kitchen strainers or collander to clean the rocks. Of course my wife wasn’t a fan. And the bigger collander let rocks through, which then went into the sink, etc. So I started looking for alternatives. And this is perfect. Very few rocks can make it through the tiny holes in this and it makes cleaning the rocks much easier. And now I don’t dirty our kitchen stuff we use for ourselves and then have to power clean after.

Love this strainer! It’s perfect for all my grains that I need to rinse. I always had trouble with rice or quinoa getting stuck or falling out of my traditional strainers, and this was the fix I needed. Very sturdy and good quality! Would recommend to others!!

Great product, even works with fine cornmeal, but I pop the ones left behind with a wooden skewer.I can make sure that the grains are rinsed properly.

I love this colander. I actually ordered this to use as a drainer for my tumbled rocks and plastic pellets that I use when tumbling rocks. I no longer lose plastic pellets through the standard big holes found in most colanders when rinsing rocks from the tumbling media.

I use this everytime i make rice which is at least 3 times a week. Its perfect for washing/rinsing rice before cooking. Easy to use and drains at an appropriate speed, slow, which allows me to rinse the rice before it all drains away.
