I had purchased long brush and loved it so I purchased this one and replaced my old brushes with wooden handles and bristles that fall out and are hard to clean. This brush is easy to clean, dishwasher safe, no residue in brush. Only minor drawback is that itβs not as full as the other kind, but you adapt and it still works great.

Even OXO has hit and miss products. I’ve had good an bad from them. But for this one – it’s good. Compared to a cheaper one I had bought before that didn’t last 3 months. That said – the only reason you should be buying this stuff on Amazon is because you can’t find it locally. I wouldn’t give Amazon a penny otherwise. As it stands, I probably return about 90% of stuff now days on Amazon, but this is a 10%er! Woo hoo! Rare.

This has got to be one of the best products OXO makes! And must be included as a standard part of any collection of kitchen utensils, because it is equally as important as a spatula and a ladle. This is not your average paint brush, nor is it the basting brush you’d find attached to a bottle of supermarket BBQ sauce. It is a superior design of carefully constructed parts with specific purposes. This is not merely a pastry brush; it is also a frying pan mop. And distributes any type of butter or oil so well, especially on a non-stick surface, breaking up and spreading out tiny droplets so they don’t reconverge. The angle is such that it is perfectly suited, be it a sloping side, a straight side or a perpendicular side to any cooking surface, including pots, pans, cookie sheets, baking trays, or casserole dishes, whether glass, metal, or otherwise. For instance, buttering and flouring a cake pan used to waste a lot of butter and paper towels and took a lot of time. The first time I used this on a cake pan, I screamed with glee! My wrist felt like it was dancing while I prepared the surface. It took less than half the amount of butter and roughly 30 seconds to go around the entire surface three times to make sure it was thoroughly buttered and then another minute or so to do the flouring. I had so much extra time I didn’t know what to do with myself!

Easy to usem it has a nice handle and lenght. Easy to clean, top drawer of dishwasher, I have a small basket I can put it in to keep from brush area being pushed around in water.

Just what I wanted to replace an old pastry brush. Used it first to make pizza, it spread the olive oil smoothly and without a lot of work. Washed up easily too.

I wanted something that I could use for any pastry brush job – savory food and sweet. The silicone bristles work great for this, but the downside of this brush is for sauces; it can get deep in between the bristles toward the handle and it’s hard to clean. Unlike natural bristles which I’ve seen deteriorate and stain more than this, it just takes longer and more effort to clean.
