I canโt chop vegetables, so I ordered this mandolin to help. This delivered very quickly, same day so I can use it today. One of the attachments does not fit at all, I need to decide if Iโm going to use that attachment to get it replaced. I was able to cut very quickly. it took me longer to figure out how to use the mandolin than it took to cut my vegetables. Next time I use it, itโll be very fast because now I know how to use it. Very nice instruction booklet with it. You still have to be very careful, you can easily cut yourself when changing out attachments or removing the vegetable from the holder. I would think this is the case for any mandolin. I would recommend. It is nice thick plastic, with blades of course. very easy to clean.

I recently purchased this product based on the great review. After receiving it and using it for tomatoes, strawberries, and other fruits and vegetables I feel I can give a better opinion on the product as a first-time buyer. The product has an excellent instruction booklet, which includes pictures detailing how to use it for different purposes properly. It also includes a variety of blades in order to get different cuts such as julienne. Most notably, the blades are extremely sharp, so purchasing cut resistant gloves is probably a good choice, even with the handguard. For the negatives, I find it difficult to take apart and reassemble. Even after following the instructions and taking it a part several times, I have found that it does not always fit properly. After a few times, the pieces seem to slip into place, but ultimately it can be difficult regardless of how careful or precise you are. When separating the pieces, there is a lock and unlock feature that allows notches in the plastic to fit properly. I have found this is not always the case and tend to struggle re-assembling it. With the way the device is designed, if you do not put it together properly, there is the possibility of cutting your hand on the exposed blades when trying to put it back together. This can obviously be very dangerous if you do not pay attention. The blade storage is a nice feature but seems pointless. If the blades are stored underneath the mandolin when in use, you will ultimately get them dirty and have more blades to wash even though you did not use them. So I would suggest finding a storage area or container and placing the blades in that rather than keeping them stored on the actual mandolin itself. For the additional blades, I would prefer if the plastic piece in front was longer. I have large hands and when I lift the triangle portion to pop the blades off of the mandolin, my fingers are extremely close to the blades due to a lack of surface area. The guard that comes with the mandolin as well is rather awkward as it does not fit in the grove and slides on top with a plunger-like device and 4 skewers inside. The plunger pushed down, sliding on the 4 skewers, but they are not as good as they could be.Overall I would rate the device a 3.5, but have rounded it up to a 4 because there is no 3.5 star. Currently, I am undecided as to whether or not I will keep it. It is decent for a mandolin, but there are probably better options out there available at the same or similar price point. If anything changes I will update this review.

This mandoline slicer works great and cleans easily enough. But the colored markings have started coming off likely because of being washed in the dishwasher. If you find the markings useful I would *not* recommend putting it in the dishwasher and I honestly think that the manual should recommend against cleaning it this way.

It is a super sharp product! Does what it is supposed to do with surgical precision! Here is the problem. You usually have wet hands when cutting various vegetables and potatoes correct? You are busy prepping and cleaning for cutting. So was I exactly four weeks ago today. Still have no feeling in my thumb, still is healing what is left of that process, because I sliced a huge portion of my thumb off with this. Your hands are wet or the protector is wet and that is not a good combo near these blades! It bled for two days, it hurt like *L* I have a healthy fear of knives now! I went onto ytub for advice on how to heal my now misshaped thumb, only to find others had done some pretty grand damage. My best advice is Do Not Buy, if you insist, I would make sure you are wearing knife gloves and everything is completely DRY before you attempt to slice. If the protector moves on the downslope, you will learn the hard way as I did. I have extremely sharp chef-quality knives and I can do a table of veggies in nothing flat. After trying to “save time” I bought this. I would rather have saved my thumb! It surely does what it says and much more. Very dangerous. I used a large round chef electric meat slicer for many many years, never hurt myself beyond once a small cut from handling a new blade to put on. If you are going to use this, I beg you, use every BIT of caution you can, you only truly have a Nano_Second to make a huge mistake.

Wonderful slicer, works well, but the main straight blade is getting dull and needs to be replaced. Can’t find out how to get a replacement. Can the manufactures or supplier PLEASE post a SPECIFIC phone number, link , or e-mail to use to order a new one? Because I am not going to spend 45 bucks or so for a new one every time the blade gets dull.

This is a very nice mandolin. All of our the very ripe tomatoes slices for the food dryer came out prefect. Easy to take apart and clean.
