I was frustrated by this product, but not for any reason one might suspect. I was frustrated not to be able to review it instantly and sing its praises! That has never happened since 1998 when I first started buying from Amazon and over the years and probably a couple hundred reviews since.This little thermometer looks like all the other fridge thermometers I’ve ever seen except … it’s not.It is, well, beautiful. Weird, right? But it really is. Whoever re-designed the old classic and manufactured it as well as it could be done is to be praised. So many products are made as cheaply as possible for maximum profit. This thermometer seems like it was born of a Ferrari mother and Mercedes father and sold by a Scottish Uncle.Elegant, solid, perfectly crafted. Unbidden, a thought came to mind “this thing is almost like jewelry!” I assure you I have never thought that about any other product I’ve bought from Amazon, at least in this class of utilitarian product.In a word, I expect not a few of these will become heirlooms passed down from grandparent to grandchild. Really.ALSO, there is an actual “unboxing” aspect to this thing! The box it came in was simple, elegantly labeled in embossed gold lettering. The packaging was the absolute minimum needed for product protection and resource economy.I’m going to try to see who/what company produced this item and invest in them! Couldn’t go wrong with people like that.I have renewed hope for the future!

I got these to put in my trailer refrigerator. I tested them in my house refrigerator. I put one in the freezer and one in the fridge. They have indicators as to the temperature you should have for each (fridge and freezer) that makes them easy to read. The temperature in my fridge at first did not match but then I remembered cold air is heavier. I put it on the lower part of the fridge and the temperatures matched closer to each other. Straight forward thermometers for your fridge.

I don’t usually like short reviews on purchases, but what can I say about a thermometer?I put one in the fridge and one in the freezer. I checked the thermometer and changed the temperatures to what they should be for each and waited for 2 days for the fridge/freezer reached the correct temperature.After, I checked the temps with 2 other thermometers and each read the same.This product works well and as advertised.

We live in the mountains where the power is always going out, especially when it snows, rains, or there is heavy wind. That’s almost every day around here! I keep a cup of ice in both freezers so I can tell if the temp. warmed up too much and melted the ice during the night, but these thermometers are perfect to keep me informed of the status before that happens. If it looks like power is going to be off for a while in the winter, and the thermometers show me that the freezers are warming up, I take the food out and put it in plastic tubs out in the snow.These thermometers are giving me exactly the same readings on both of them. I tested them in the ovens too. I’m so glad I got these.

Our Gladiator fridge, designed for garage use, oddly didn’t come with anyway to track its cooling effectiveness in a garage environment where temps can change significantly. We bought the 4 pack and they do the job! Easy to read and accurate. We also didn’t want to have to worry about changing batteries, so we opted for old school simplicity.We keep one in the freezer area where 0° is optimum and the others in the fridge area where 37° is preferred. We also wanted to track each shelf in the fridge to see if we had any warm zones on shelves designated for beverages, dairy, condiments or meat products destined for portioning and freezing.
