Bought it based on a review in the NYT claiming these grinders were the best in the world. Pepper grinder came with a big crack right through the Peugot logo. Sent it back and got another one. Works pretty well, but I’m not sure it is worth the hoopla. See my review for the salt grinder which is a little more mediocre (the grinder, not the review–I think).

Really well made and love the smoothness of the wood.The grinder feels really smooth and i like how i can adjust the coarseness from very fine to very coarse.

This the best pepper mill that I have found. I’ve purchased them in the past and the pepper size was never consistent. Some large and some small. This mill produces consistent sized pepper.

Didn’t think I’d be so wowed, but I am – this is a superior product. It delivers true cracked peppercorns plus finely ground plus everything in between. I no longer write reviews but this product compelled me.

You can immediately tell this is a pepper mill of lasting quality. It is beautifully constructed and the mechanics of it are so smooth. The ground pepper is incredibly fragrant & flavorful and I appreciate the ability to vary the courseness. Would make a great wedding gift.

I like how the grinder is easy to operate & select grind. My only complaint would be hard to load new peppercorns, but doable.

I had been searching for a good peppermill for coarse ground pepper. The cheap ones don’t do a good job. This mill is fabulous!! It has 6 different grind size settings and it works like a champ. I love it.
