Compared to the other Peugit mills that have a really outdated system for the milling grade this one here is a champ, you just set the dial to the grade you want and it gives you always exactly that milling grade. Perfect. Would by it again if it ever breaks.

Having tried many grinders over the years, I’m convinced Peugeot makes the best ones.

I have to say, this is one of those few “luxury item purchases” that did not disappoint, and brings me pleasure every day at the table. First, these grinders (I got the 9″ cherry salt and pepper grinders) are gorgeous. The attention to detail in the craftsmanship of obvious, and they add a touch of elegance and memories of travels through Europe to out table setting. But not secondary, their function is beyond compare. The salt grinder does a great job at adjusting the crystal size. But the pepper grind – it’s on a whole other level. The way that it grinds the pepper corns makes them taste and smell so much better than any other grinder I have ever used. And the ability to adjust the size is something I use a lot more than I expected. I grind my pepper extra fine for use on milder flavored foods – mostly my breakfast omelets. And I grind it more course for stronger flavored foods – like steak. Each extreme in grinding is like having a whole other ingredient in that it changes the flavor that much. All in all, this was a great purchase that I will enjoy for many years!

I came from a pepper mill that I *thought* was good to this one. I already threw the other one out. The consistency of the grind here is incredible. Repeatable results, every time. Just get it – you won’t regret it.

Lost them in a divorce and re purchased them over Black Friday. They work so well. The adjustments are perfect. Finish is pretty. Not too burgundy.
