The item works well, and it was easy to re-align the cutting wire upon arrival. Overall, it was a good purchase. The only problem we have was that it was damaged upon arrival (included in image), where the corner near the wire was split. Additionally, despite the product saying there would be extra wires included, there were no extra wires.

Used and loved until the wire broke, just under 2 years. Found the metal ring on the bottom of a straw cleaning brush fit perfectly in the slot, used straw cleaning brush to clean the wire twist area. Sticker on the back (and many other Amazon reviewers/Q&As) say a replacement wire is available via some drawn out snail mail situation. I went down the rabbit hole of Amazon looking for analogous wire replacements instead. Turns out, in order to replace the wire in this one, you have to unscrew 1 screw (easy enough, had cheese in it tho), and push a metal pin out of the plastic handle which didn’t budge for me at first. I am the kind of person who would push so hard I’d either damage the table or CRACK THE PLASTIC HANDLE!!! So yeah, no. I found another slicer ~$20 that not only has measurements on it for the nerd I am, but has an easy screw off stainless handle AND COMES WITH 4 REPLACEMENT WIRES. If you only need this for a few uses, by all means. But long term? Buy different!

I love this cheese slicer. If the wire doesn’t line up with the slot on the board, there is an adjustment for that in the directions. Mine wasn’t lined up exactly when I got it, but after adjusting it, it works great. Very easy to slice 2 lb. blocks of cheese.

I love the look… The handle that holds the wire is not as sturdy as I’d hoped but I tested it out on some cheddar and it works just fine. A price reduction is needed I believe.
