I’ve always been a huge fan of Jaques Pepin, and when I noticed his unique pepper grinder, I made it my MISSION to find it. Brilliant idea, and if it’s hearty enough to withstand his kitchen, what could go wrong in mine? Once I finally figured out it was Pepper Mate, I bought this black and white set so I can always freshly grind sea salt when I cook. It’s easier to fill than my old mill. It’s effortless to grind. And the storage tray on the bottom… well… genius! Not just to grind a bunch all at once, but when you put it back in your cabinet, no salt or pepper remnants fall onto the surface.Did I mention I love this?Also: FANTASTIC customer service. After about 18 months, the plastic tray that holds ground salt or pepper at the bottom of the device cracked after I dropped it on a tile floor. I wrote an email to support, since I knew that part was not covered my warranty and I didn’t see where I could order a replacement. They offered to send it for free if I covered shipping, and when I replied with my mailing address they just sent it charging me nothing instead.

I have gone through multiple pepper mills trying to find one that would easily grind fine to course with no issues. Finally bought a Peppermate and my search was over. Itβs the best Iβve ever used. Easy to fill and adjust with convenient (and accurate) measuring. Have used it for over a year with no issues. Highly recommended!!

Unlike most pepper grinders, the Peppermate sits on a little storage compartment that allows you to pre-grind and store pepper and also prevents ground pepper/pepper dust from falling onto your counter or wherever you store the grinder. The customer services is top notch. I had to replace mine as the grinder mechanism failed and they sent me a replacement with no questions. As I chose a different color for the replacement I decided to mix and match the grinder top to give my grinder a snappy look. I noticed that Jacque Pepin seems to be using this grinder in his own kitchen (videos) so reasoned that it would be suitable for aging hands and so far it has worked well for mine.

I bought this because I enjoy Jacques Pepinβs cooking videos on Facebook and he uses a Peppermate. I needed a pepper grinder for the kitchen and thought Iβd check it out. The reviews and price were good, and I havenβt been disappointed. Highly recommended!

This little pepper grinder is well engineered, easy to fill, easy to adjust the coarseness of the grind, and looks nice on the counter. I use it every day. Recently, the top cover was cracked…my fault, I had dropped it. Customer service sent me a replacement immediately, and didn’t even charge me for the part. I couldn’t be happier with their customer service!

I have been cooking for over 50 years and have been through dozens of mills of ever ilk and price range looking for what I had believed to be a unicorn, the perfect pepper mill.The search is over.I have owned my PepperMate for at least a year and can I say, it brings me joy.Itβs tidily shaped, extremely easy (ergonomic) to grind and the cleverness of the clear base that if you wish you can grind into and measure out of. Or not, but never the less keeps stray grinds off the counter.They have a incredible warranty and customer service department that checks in just to make sure youβre a happy camper.In conclusion, they brag on being the best in the world and I 100% agree!!!
