Working At Home –
With the heat being what it is and a house full of Hydro-Flasks we go through ice much faster than my little Frigidaire ice-maker can keep up with.My freezer has intermittently stopped making ice for us almost since the purchase date. We finally gave up on it and bought a free-standing Frigidaire ice-maker from Costco. It was a great price and works great. The only problem is even though it produces pretty quickly, It just canβt meet the demand for ice in my household. The other problem is that since the new ice-cubes are produced so quickly, they melt away quickly as well.I had been on the hunt for some GOOD ice making trays for a while. Something with a lid to keep the ice clean and free from any kind of freezer food debris. My daughter sent me the link to these, I read the reviews and clicked purchase. The trays arrived the next day. Everything was in great condition and odor free. I had read so many reviews on other trays where people said the chemical odor and TASTE was overwhelming. So when these arrived thatβs the first thing I checked for.I washed them out with soap, water and a touch of bleach to be safe. I used bottled water to fill them. (I use water bottles kept in the fridge, this helps freeze the spheres more quickly) I followed the directions that were included and incorporated some clues I found in the reviews by other customers. I filled them up just a bit past the fill-line (this is just over 1/2 of a16 ounce water bottle) and kept an eye out for the little spouts of water that pop up when you place the tops on. Four hours laterβ¦oops a little too soon. Gave them a full 8 hours to solidifyβ¦perfect little solid spheres! The ice balls were pretty easy to remove. To get them out I twist slightly from side-to-side and flip over to empty the contents right into the container that is conveniently included with the trays. Both trays will fill the storage container about halfway. The ice-balls are very solid. I filled my 40 ounce Hydro-Flask to the top with the perfect little spheres, added a bottle of cold water from the refrigerator and went about my day. A full 24 hours and a couple of water refills later, I still had about 1/4 of the flask left with in tact ice. No chemical taste or smell.I love these trays. I just placed an order for a second set. With the economy being what it is, I can really stand to cut some corners. After the second set arrives I will be able to unplug my faithful little Frigidaire and give it and my electricity bill a little break. These trays are a great little investment. If I had more freezer space I would buy a couple more!

Spheres? For my ice? Theyβre not ice cubes theyβre iceβ¦ balls? How odd.But I freaking love it. Frankly Iβm never going back to ice cubes. Ice balls are easier to get into your glasses and water bottles, they melt evenly without turning into weird shaped shards of ice that stab your mouth when you take a drink, and they just look cooler.Iβve bought quite a few βnoveltyβ ice trays because I like having fun, themed ice for dinner parties and whatever. Iβve had heart-shaped ice for Valentineβs Day, pumpkin and skull-shaped ice for Halloween, tiny ice TARDISes for a Doctor Who birthday party. All very fun! But all with one shared flaw: theyβre hard as crap to get out of the stupid tray. So I bought this set as a compromise, something easy to make a lot of but still more fun and unusual than the βnormalβ cube trays weβre all familiar with.It is very easy to fill the trays with water, and very easy to crack the ice out with a gentle twist. Hallelujah.I love the box container that comes with this set and frankly I would not buy it if it was only the trays. Itβs VERY easy to take out a tray full of freshly made ice balls, twist and crack it over the box, and have all the little orbs fall in. Then it is very easy to use the included scoop or your fingers to get just a couple of ice balls out at a time. It would be an absolute nightmare to try to get a single ice sphere out of the tray by itself. Plus the container comes with a lid to keep your ice safe from any freezer spills, and theyβre all the same size so the container and the two trays stack on top of each other perfectly. The container can hold about four traysβ worth of ice balls at a time.Overall Iβm very pleased with this purchase.

This is such a handy ice tray, makes perfect little circle ices! After you make it, you can store it in the tub to make more, so you don’t run out. The ice is perfect size for eating, or putting into a ice pack. It also looks great in cocktails! Excellent price, easy to clean, goes in the dish washer, and doesn’t take up a ton of space in the freezer. 10 outta 10!

I prefer my water/beverages cold. I use 2 different Hydroflasks daily. Im going to buy another set. These are great and sized perfectly. When I get home at night after refilling a few times throughout the day I still have ice left over. I really enjoy that they are round. Easy to use, if you arenβt careful you can make a mess. Once you master the measurement of water these are so easy.

I needed a container that would hold my ice cubes. This one has the perfect size and it can be stored without separating the pieces. Two reasons I gave it a four star, one i have a small freezer and it takes space I need to put food in and Two it takes a few tries for you to learn how to use the ice trays so you can get round ice balls. Would recommend

My ice balls donβt all come out and itβs a struggle every time. Some break in half, but itβs nice to have fresh ice in the nice closed container. Iβm not sure I would ever buy again

I like these. I used another brand that I had to put a cylinder inside and the balls were flat backed. No good! These are easy
