You may have tried to score the bread with knife, and it can be done. But if you want to have cleaner marks and slightly deeper cuts on your final baguette before final proofing, get this tool.With this tool, you can effectively create “dissipation spots” where the pressure from the bread can effectively escape so that the sides of your final baguettes do not plump from the sides excessively.

I had been using a steak knife to score my sourdough loaves, and this is much better! I like that it comes with several extra blades; it feels like a great value for the money since with the extra blades, I can use it for a really long time. The blades were easy to attach to the handle and came with simple instructions.

First off. Everything was so delicately packaged it felt so luxurious to open. Each blade is individually wrapped, twice, and the instructions are super helpful. The actual blade itself has a slight learning curve but it is very sharp and does an excellent job.
