The media could not be loaded. Β I needed a very large cutting board for my counter top. I prefer hard wood and did a 4 hour research looking for the best and biggest heavy wood cutting board. Teak is a great hardwood known for it’s water resistance used on boats/marine decks/pool decks etc. This teakwood is glued together length wise with individual 1″ square x 24″ long cut teakwood pieces, then the drain channels and handle slots routered out, sanded and finished in a beautiful color, with beautifully deep woodgrain contrasts. PROBLEM: less than 10 days of it sitting on my counter top, wiped off with only a damp cloth with a 10%bleach and water solution for sanitatizing, never soaked in water or rinsed off in a sink, used only for preparing 4 meals for 2 people for cutting up veggies….. This chopping board started to pull apart at the glued seams of the 1square inch teakwood pieces especially on both lateral sides of the board where the finger handle groves are routered. and warp badly. It started warping after 2nd meal prep. with zero soaking of water, just the moisture from the veggies, like tomatoes, lettuce, celery, onion, olives, cheese, typical salad ingredients and fresh veggies like green beans, asparagus, carrots, potatoes. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE CRAFTSMANSHIP ESPECIALLY for $80 18×28″ teakwood cutting board being used only 4 times for 4 meals in 10 days. We are retired so we tend to go out or make super easy meals, or frozen meals. That is why the so few uses. Still, a hard wood cutting board should never fall apart and warp like this. It is very heavy, hard to clean, impossible to rinse off in our tiny kitchen sink, so it can only be wiped off with a damp cloth of 10% bleach sol’n for sanitizing, then wiping dry. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS POORLY CONSTRUCTED EXPENSIVE POOR EXCUSE FOR A KITCHEN CUTTING BOARD!

My husband loves it! I bought this as a birthday gift and he cooked a brisket the next day to try it out win win for him and the family! It held the entire brisket and my counter tops were saved from a mess with the lip that collects any bits. It was a little hard to wash in my regular depth kitchen sink, but thatβs not going to stop us from enjoying this cutting board.

I used this to create charcuterie board and it is so beautiful! There is a lot of grain that shows which gives a great look. This holds together really well!

I’ve had the board for 1 month. It is starting to crack by one of the handles. I have followed all cleaning and care instructions. I’m disappointed. The board is a nice size and weight. Not too heavy.

The board is not flat on the bottom, causing it to rock back and forth on a flat surface. I would have returned it, but the Mrs…had already cut something on it, creating slices on the wood surface…photos show the curvature with a heavy object on one side of the board.

I received the board and was so taken aback that I became eager to cut stuff. I decided to wash and treat it right away. First off, it is huge and very heavy. While those are pluses in my book, some are going to have issues with the weight.Ok, so I like the weight and size, but I found more to this cutting board. The design speak not only to good craftsmanship but also to an appreciation for art… to me anyway. Others in the household prefer the lighter bamboo types and “dont see the big deal” with this one, so I guess even a cutting board can elicit different views and responses. Regardless, I was surprised that the product was as smooth and finished – even the routed groove around it.As for the business of cutting, I found this board to be perfect for softer fruits, veggies and breads. Harder veggies and meats are probably better on bamboo, glass or plastic because the increased force on the knife eventually leads to cuts into the surface. I wont recommend chopping on this fine work of art; that would be sacrilegious. Not much more to say about the board. Its a simple item with a simple function, but with a satisfying feel. Its definitely a keeper and should last quite a while. To that end, I treat it occasionally with fractionated coconut oil. Oh, and be sure to clean it before use. It came with a fine coat of sawdust from the factory.Happy cutting!!

Exactly what I was looking for. Our kitchen is a galley layout, with a range on one side of the kitchen, and an under-counter oven on the other side. I’ve been looking for something to place of the counter so when I remove a dish from that oven there’s a safe place to put it. I like the wood better then any silicone mats, and this board is the right size. It’s hefty, but the finger slots on each end make it easy to lift. The plus is the grooves on one side for juices so this will make a great carving board, too. Since I’ve only had it a few weeks I cannot speak to durability, but the board is well made and solid.

I received my replacement board today. It’s almost as bad as the first one. This one has wood filler in it , it’s poorly sanded and it’s warped. I will be returning this a second time. This time I will request a full refund.
