I was at my local big box store, when I saw a package with pre-made crème brûlée in little glass cups. I had to have them, so I put them in my buggy. When I got home and opened up the box, there were a bunch of packets of dark sugar crystals, and you’re supposed to sprinkle it on top of the desert, and then, use a little torch to melt the sugar. They didn’t mention that on the front of the package. Undaunted, I opened up my Amazon app and began looking for a little torch. There are a lot of them to choose from, and after much consideration, I put in an order for this one. After it was delivered, it occurred to me that I also needed some fuel to put in the torch. Well duh! So once again, I opened up my Amazon app and found a little can of butane and ordered it. Soon, I had everything I needed to melt the sugar on top of my crème brûlée! Oh my gosh! It was so much fun, sparking up that little baby, and torching the top of my little desserts! They turned out beautifully! Just like the ones you get in a restaurant. So, if you do have a need for a tiny flamethrower, I highly recommend this one!

So far as far as my experience goes, this is a good little torch. As with all butane devices like this you end up losing about a fourth to a half of your butane trying to fill it. That’s probably more of butane cartridge issue than a torch issue. Does what I want to do

This is actually a great lighter. I needed a torch for my art projects. It’s great. Doesn’t over heat, burns nice. Fully adjustable. Easy to refill.

I bought this for creme brulee but was able to use to heat up sprinkler pipe for a repair I was doing. Worked for both and is easy to use. You do need to have butane to fill it up as it comes empty.

It was my first time using a torch and I was terrified…but this little thing is great! Gives a great and adjustable flame and so easy to use.

I had always been afraid of using a torch, but my 14 year old grandson got one and assured me that I would love it and I do!

Have not had this for even 2 weeks the gas is leaking out of the bottom. Tried tightening it, but didn’t help. Let out all the pressure with the little red tool as instructed, but gas still leaks. Going to return it. To bad I liked it for the week it was usable to light our bon fires.

Compact torch with all the desired features for a home kitchen – safety lock, adjustable flame and continued flame, long nozzle. Also easy to fill up. As shown in the company’s video, its powerful flame can crisp up veggies. Can’t wait to try it out on creme brulee.
