This torch was a great bargain. I’ve paid much more for other inferior torches in the past and consider this baby quite a find..Thank you…Update: the torch apparatus to fill it is near impossible with the butane running onto my hand. Also the flame is nonexistent on the lower settings. For what it’s worth

I’m going to be honest, I havent used this in practical application yet but wait! This is awesome.I received it a few weeks ago and expected the same fiddly undependable half arsed garbage I’ve become used to any time I’ve purchased a “refillable propane torch”.I opened it, read the directions, place the butane tank on the torch to fill, waited the suggested 5 minutes, and after reading the pre-emptive warnings about how it might not work so good at first, hit the fire button and was awed by a beautiful, sharp, super hot display of perfect torch flame.I set it down.I couldnt beleive it.I hit it again. And again. Perfect.I imagined I had a creme` brulee` and fired it up, placing the tip of the flame on the nearest worthless object and destroyed it, while muttering some fancy words, like I was the host of some sort of cooking show, then opened a window to let in some fresh air. This thing has sat on my breakfast bar (I’m single, hey ladies!) for weeks now, and every couple days I reach over and hit the button and yell, “I am the God of hell fire!”.And it fires every time with no orange or yellow flame, no spitting or sputtering, just click-pfffttt, pure blue flame. All my friends think I’m nuts but they’ve all ordered one of these.(Not verified but allegedly)I can see myself starting charcoal with this, getting fires started in my fire pit, toasting white oak to age bourbon, lighting a cigar, crisping a creme brulee with it, lighting a fake 100 dollar bill (also available on Amazon!), or making quickie smores to impress my two friends I have left.I forgot what I paid for this.I dont feel like looking. It’s worth like 57 bucks. If it’s under 40 get it.It’s highly entertaining, even if you never really use it.Sorry about my nails in the photo.I’ll go now and give myself a manicure.

This is my first kitchen torch, so I have nothing to compare it to. It works great. I love it.

Butane is kind of hard to fill and there is no gauge to see how much is in torch. I ordered another torch that wasn’t as easy to use but had a gauge which made filling easier and was nice to see how low you were.
