With those of us having arthritis, we can no longer perform any “twisting” motion without a lot of pain, so we are unable to operate most salt/pepper grinders without a great deal of discomfort. I was so happy to find these because all that is required is to ratchet the top ball/knob back and forth to grind! There is a heavily ribbed dial at the bottom of the grinder to change the size of the grind by turning that dial so that the indicator lines up with one of 5 different size dots (universal language), indicating fine (small dot) to coarse (large dot). At first I couldn’t get the dial on one of these all the way to the small dot, but after handing it to my strong grandson, he turned it back and forth until it was loosened up just fine and easy to turn. So, if you have arthritis, buy these. You won’t regret it. And if you know of someone who has arthritis, buy these as a gift for them. They will love you for it!

I love this! It’s easy to fill, easy use and looks fabulous. I love that I have the choice of grind. Now i only buy course salt and use this to get four different grades of courses. I will definitely be buying more.

When I first saw this I was wondering if it was just a gimmick but I decided to go with it and love it. I didn’t like having to change batteries on the electric ones and the twist type worked well but for lots of pepper it became annoying to grind. For some reason the grind action on this is comfortable and the mill feels durable. Highly recommend.

This really is pretty amazing. SUPER overpriced of course… but after trying my cousins I had to get one. Only complaint is I wish it ground the pepper a little finer. Even on the smallest setting it’s still too big (and way bigger granules than the pre-ground pepper you buy in those tins).
