Seems accurate in taking temperature, and having both a readout device and a phone app is nice. But I have two criticisms.1. The app absolutely refuses to pair with no workaround if you don’t let it access your phone’s location (in high accuracy mode). Like… why? This is pretty suspicious from a privacy standpoint.2. The alarm is far too loud. Yes I can turn down my phone’s volume but then everything else is very, very quiet. Well, at least you’ll be able to hear it even if your phone is over the hills and far away.

I bought this thermometer for $36, and it works great. The competition is all $80+, but this one does everything I need it to do. I typically stick one probe in the thermometer hole on my Big Green Egg and one probe in the meat. The app is simple but useful. Will alarm at whatever high or low setpoints you want. I also tested the accuracy by sticking the probes in boiling water, and it was dead-on.

I’ve been through many BBQ/Oven thermometers and I think this is the best one yet. Only used twice and it seems easy to use. HOWEVER, don’t buy unless you have a smart phone. Much easier to use through the phone.

This gadget is super user-friendly and intuitive. It was easy to set up right out of the box, and the app is pretty simple to use once you find everything that is in there. The multiple alarms and high/low settings are great, and the app allows you to set either probe for ambient or a variety of meat settings. The best praise I can give this device is that it came in the mail the day before I needed to use it to BBQ our thanksgiving turkey on my standard weber grill. On its first time out of the box, it worked as I hoped it would. The turkey turned out great, and I was able to monitor it on my phone while prepping the rest of the dinner inside the house. I was able to just run out and adjust a damper here or there to keep the temperature in the sweet spot.Looking forward to using this again!

I splurged (a little) and ordered this. It works great. Easy to use. And it’s great having it on my phone. I can finally leave the kitchen. Super easy to set up.

Reasonably easy setup instructions. As far as I can test and verify the 2 probes are accurate with 2 degrees of each other. Close enough for government work and cooking.Used the app yesterday. A little tricky downloading the correct app. There are a couple of competing apps that look very similar, but don’t work with the Thermo-Pro Wireless Meat Thermometer. Once I got the correct app set up and linked, it was easy to monitor the temperature of the meat while it slowly came up to the desired temperature. A nice beef tri-tip cooked to perfection on the smoker. That was some really good eats! The first time or two I used the Thermo-Pro I didn’t use the wireless app. The thermometer worked perfectly but I didn’t pay close attention and slightly overcooked the meat. Having the wireless app is a big deal.

This thermometer saved me lots of trips outside to check the temperature. Much better from my iPhone. This pork butt came out much better than my most recent (and it was really good). I have a propane smoker and on cold or windy days it’s nice to know if there is a problem without going outside every 15 minutes. I recommend this thermometer Wally.

I actually ordered this for when my husband is using his smoker, but I’ve now taken it over and use it multiple times a week. Chicken and pork make me nervous and I always had a habit of overcooking it a bit and this takes out all of the guesswork. My recent thanksgiving turkey was my best yet and received several compliments thanks to being able to use this with the app on my phone. I haven’t had to charge it yet either and I’ve used it SEVERAL times.
