I wasn’t expecting to like this little bamboo container so much, but it is so well crafted and simple, that it has become a prominently featured item in my kitchen. Who would have thought that a “salt container” would be so fantastic? The bamboo is strong, and the finishes are smooth and clean. The hinge opens nicely and the lid does not get caught on the lip (smooth opening). I actually look forward to pinching some Kosher salt (which is what I put in it) out of the container. Highly recommended!

I purchased this to replace a similar salt box which had been gifted to me. The previous one seemed a little more sturdy than this one but not as pretty. (It was accidentally dropped in a pot of boiling water which affected its finish.)
