We wanted a grater that is rust proof & stainless. This one seems to fit the bill, although we have only had a short while. We chose this one because it is much like our old grater that we have had since the 70s. I didn’t realize what a gem it really was & donated it in our last move. Since then we have had a couple of other graters which were not as good. The hand held one fell apart & handle came off. The stand up one was hard to clean as it had the rubber on the bottom. You really don’t need rubber to keep it from sliding. Plus, it is hard to clean because food gets caught in the rubber bottom. Also, most of the rubber bottoms are not 100% stainless underneath. We love our new grater as it has all the features of our older one but is also sharper & a little larger which gives a nice clean grate. Highly recommend! Just watch your knuckles!

It’s sturdy and really attractive. I used it for cheese fondue and it worked well. My guests thought it was beautiful. The “chrome gel fuel burner” is cheaply made, as are the forks, especially compared to the forks of my original 1971 fondue pot. The descriptions says the pot comes with a “a rubber wood base plate,” which is actually just wooden. I don’t see how rubber would work. The biggest drawback is that the solid cast iron base gets extremely hot, as I found out when I went to cover the can of Sterno I used to heat the cheese. Keep your hands away from the base, and always use the wood base plate or your table top will feel the heat. The base on my retro unit is steel and has lots of space to reach in and cover the Sterno can, without getting singed. For a few bucks more, they could have made the forks nicer and the burner more substantial. I’ll be using the pot regularly but will be hunting for a nice set of retro forks.

I like the enamel coating of this cast iron fondue, but didn’t like how it was packaged poorly by the seller glad it wasn’t a gift, the cast iron on the stand is chipped. Keeping it regardless its beautiful and will last.

I was concerned that this product would be lacking in some way dude to the price being half that of comparable products. Without having the more expensive option to directly compare to, I can say that this product stands up to every hope and expectation I would have for the more expensive alternative. Versatile and easy to use, easy to clean (if you let cheese fondue get too hot and burn, it loosens easily from the enamel coating), and ideally sized for 2 to 6 people. I highly recommend this product, and I’m someone who appreciates quality.

This is a cute brie baker, but the lid does not fit on the dish. I can set it on top but it is not secure, they don’t fit together- I’ve been using it without the lid and it does still work well but a bit disappointed about it.

I was very worried when I got the box. It was damaged on the edges and clearly banged up by the postal system, however it was so perfectly packed there was NO damage thank goodness! I’ve used it several times. It cleans up nicely. I bought cans of sterno at Sam’s Club and it works great. You do have to keep stirring but it stays warm. It cleans up great. Fun for the family gatherings. I would highly recommend. Good strong quality built.
