Update! This even works one handed! I sprained my right thumb and have no strength in that hand. Tried the jar opener (on a previously opened jar, not vacuumed sealed) and was able to open it!I have minor arthritis, not debilitating,but opening a jar can be painful. I have other jar openers but the require me to use one hand to hold the jar and the other hand to twist the mat or the strap. Often I’ve literally had to hold the jar between my knees to get a decent enough grip.? Rediculous. This tool, mounted under a cabinet, very discrete, allows me to grip both hands on the jar and twist. I’ve done it with several different sizes and it works great.

Got this for my wife who has arthritis – she struggles opening jars and caps and all stand alone openers seem to fail or need too much leverage – this little guy installs easily used your cabinet (cannot be seen) and yet it’s there ready to use when you need it – works great from small caps like ketchup bottles to big pickle jars. I used to be able to help my wife open jars but I too have arthritis and so now I don’t have to embarrass myself when I cannot open a jar lid – just put it up there and gently twist the jar – whala!

It’s good for plastic caps so the metal teeth can grab the plastic lids. It’s not my first go to item to get caps off.

I am impressed how well this works. I am 75 with arthritis and cant grip well. This really works! Installing on the underside of my upper cabinet was not easy as I could have used the strength of a young guy to get the screws started, but once installed, it works great and cant be seen.
