A lot of years ago I bought one of those countertop knife sharpeners. You know the kind, it has grinding wheels in it and you pull a knife through and it sharpens both sides at the same time. It made a lot of noise but it never did sharpen a knife very well so I gave up and started using a “professional” knife sharpener. They charged me between $5 and $10 per knife but they did an excellent job.Recently I gathered up about 10 knifes that needed sharpening and thought that I was about to spend around $100. But, my guy went out of business so I started doing some research. I watched some YouTube videos and learned that with the proper equipment sharpening a knife isn’t exactly rocket science. After more research I settled on this sharpener. It was on Prime and I bought it during Prime Days so I got an extra 5% off. Even at its usual price it wasn’t a bad deal. After watching a few more YouTube videos and the instructions that came with the sharpener I went for it. My first knife was a very old, very dull kitchen knife that I wouldn’t miss if I completely screwed it up. Before I started the sharpening process I tried cutting paper with the knife. Seriously, the back side of a butter knife was sharper.I ran the knife through five times on both sides and repeated the paper cutting test. All I can say is, Wow. That old, dull, unusable knife was near razor sharp. With my confidence up I did another five knifes that day. I did the paper cutting test on each of them before and after and I’m very pleased with the results. By the end of the week I sharpened 12 knifes from pocket knifes to chopping knifes and everything in between. I still have a few more to do but I’ve already more than justified the cost of this sharpener.

Just bought the mk 2. I’ve struggled with sharpening stones and hand held sharpeners. Even a electric ” good rating” sharpener. I’m just starting out using this tool, but man does it work. Right out of the box I put a nice fresh edge on my favorite kitchen knife. I’ve been trying to find other stuff I can sharpen around the house. As I get more experience with this, I’ll probably redo the knives I already sharpened. Great deviceGreat priceGotta learn a little but with minimal time you can put an edge on anything. You won’t be doing any home surgery but it’ll be better than it was. I’m sure of it

I’ve never been able to sharpen a knife. The best I could ever do was turn them into blunt force objects. But this contraption just changed all that. Within 5 minutes of opening the box my pocket knife was slicing through paper like *insert over‐used cliche here*. Then I spent the next hour sharpening everything that wasn’t bolted down to the floor. 10/10 Highly recommend.

This is the best knife sharpener I have ever owned. Very easy to use and it put a fantastic edge on my wife’s kitchen knives and my hunting knives. The only drawback is a small one. You cannot lock the switch in the “on” position so it is a bit awkward to hold the switch and keep the knife straight. After a few rounds you will get the hang of it.

This was easy to use and holy crap, all my knives cut through paper like forger in fire, ready instructions and follow recommended angles. You can chop zombies for breakfast.

I have been sharpening my wife’s cooking knifes for years using wet stones of various grits. I’m able to get sharp edges every time, but it’s a long process. I saw this sharpener by chance being advertised and thought I would give it a try! (At least I could use it to sharpen my lawn mower blades or wood axes if all else fails.) WOW! This product is absolutely amazing! I sharpened 5 kitchen knives in one fourth of the time it takes me to sharpen one by hand! I would argue this sharpener actually did it better – certainly easier!!! This is a high quality, dependable, easy to use sharpener! Buyers (who have experience sharpening knives) beware – you will instantly love this item to the point you’ll want to voluntarily sharpen friends/family’s knives too! PS: I had to warn my wife since all her main chef knives are super sharp!
